Almost 2 million images from the British Museum have been made available online for download. Released under a Creative Commons 4.0 license, all the photographs are free to download, adapt and use for non-commercial purposes. You must remember to credit the museum.
To find an image, go to the search at this page:

Type in your search and pick an image. There are a variety of filters on the right-hand side of the page. Once you click on the image, you’ll see a “Use This Image” button on your screen. Click it, and you’ll see the ways in which you can use this image non-commercially. You’ll get details of how to credit the image as well.
