I used this EdMedia to develop an approach to communicating guidelines for assignments to students. I wanted to get away from a traditional instructional word document and find a way to inspire students with examples from student peers. I also hoped to use educational media to supplement other efforts to explain how the various course assignments link together and work towards an integrated understanding of population and public health concepts. I chose to use Prezi as the vehicle or platform within which to embed different educational media assets. These included videos, voice-overs and information graphics. I also wanted to develop an educational media asset that allowed the grafting of additional student exemplars as well as links to complementary information about the course assignments.
